Vacancy Announcement

Jagaran Nepal, established in 2002 AD, is a national level NGO working in the sector of women’s human rights, peace and governance. It works for capacity enhancement of existing and potential women leaders; advocates for women’s equal participation in decision making, politics and governance; and increases awareness/education among rural women and build linkages to increase women’s access to and control over local resources.

Organization seeks to hire the highly motivated professionals to join Jagaran Nepal’s team. The positions along with key responsibilities are given below:

1. Project Officer – 1

       Key Responsibilities

  • – Ensure effective and efficient project implementation and management,
  • – Ensure the project’s technical framework is in line with the secretarial and programmed strategy and guarantee the quality of the project,
  • – Administrate effective partnership coordination and management,
  • – Overall project budget management and monitoring,
  • – Take project leadership and provide individual guidance,
  • – Assume responsibilities for internal and external reporting and communication along with good coordination with management team of Jagaran Nepal.
  • – Assist the organization in fundraising activities including draft concept note/proposal development.
  • – Assist the program team in compiling and developing project reports.
  • – Other activities as assigned by the management.

Qualification :             Bachelor Degree in Developmental Studies, Rural Development, Social Science or any other related field.

Experience Required: 

  • – At least Three years of working experiences in the related field (Women Leadership Development Sector).
  • – Experience of working with supported projects.
  • – Having excellent knowledge on advocacy related tools and techniques

Other skills:

  • – Strong analytical, strategic and representational skills.
  • – Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Nepali Language.
  • – Problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • – Ability to work under pressure.
  • – Conversant with MS Office and other software skills.

Duty Station :          The duty station of the incumbent shall be Kathmandu. But she/he needs to travel the project districts frequently.

Salary & Benefits :    It shall be as per project document.

 

2. Assistant Finance Officer – 1 (part time)

Key Responsibilities

  • – Prepare budget, summarize expenses and prepare report for the projects,
  • – Responsible for day to day management of account activities like updating ledgers, cash book, handling petty cash, handing banking transaction, manage advance and its settlement, preparing vouchers and documents.
  • – Responsible for handling the government tax and other rules and regulation applicable for organization.
  • – Manage the administration, arrange logistic and field trips of staff.

Qualification :            Bachelor Degree in Business Management, Commerce or any related field.

Experience Required:

  • – At least Two years of working experiences in the related field ( Non Government Sector).
  • – Experience of working with supported projects.
  • – Having excellent knowledge on advocacy related tools and techniques.

Other skills:

  • – Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Nepali Language.
  • – Problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • – Ability to work under pressure.
  • – Conversant with MS Office and other software skills.
